Imagine
your horse moving effortlessly and gracefully. See him as
nature intended: a strikingly beautiful animal whose movement
exemplifies both elegance and strength. Rider’s Edge
Integrated Equine Bodywork can help restore your horse to
his natural state of being which is full of power, grace,
and flexibility.
Rider’s Edge Integrated Equine Bodywork offers one of
the most comprehensive arrays of soft tissue modalities available
for horses today.
I blend the different therapies I am trained in to achieve
the best results for your horse's health by keeping his body
balanced and in optimum working condition.
Each treatment is tailored to meet your horse's individual
needs. I begin every visit with an observation of your horse
in hand at the walk and trot. After the bodywork is complete,
the horse is re-evaluated for any remanding issues. You will
receive a written report of the session. Follow-up appointments
are made based on the findings. You may also request a copy
of my notes be sent to your veterinarian.

Myofascial
Release/Structural Integration
This is where you get the extra edge over the
competition. These sessions focus on releasing inefficient
muscle patterns and replacing them with correct ones.
|
Performance
Bodywork
This session is tailored to release stress and strain
from the three key junctions of the horse which mostly
affect performance: poll/neck, neck/shoulder, sacroiliac/hip.
|
Pre-Event
Work
The pre-event work warms and loosens muscles by increasing
blood flow and helping to ease any muscle tension. Increased
oxygenation leads to enhanced performance and shorter
recuperation time. |
Post-Event
Massage
During an event, a horse may have pushed his muscles
to the limit. The post event massage helps reduce soreness
and speed up recovery. |
Pre
Purchase Exam Massage
You want your horse moving as freely as possible for
prospective buyers and the vet check. This work a few
days before the pre-purchase exam could mean an improvement
in movement evaluation, flexion, attitude, and stamina.
|
Rehabilitation
Bodywork
This is specifically for horses recovering from an injury
and must be requested by a veterinarian. Horses that
are injured 'protect' the damaged area by compensating
with different which increases the load on surrounding
muscles which often creates new problems. It is vital
to your horse’s full recovery that restricted
tissues are broken up and balanced is restored. |
